@0033mer can you please tell me how to identify the levitation point please
Excellent explanation and video, many THANKS. Hope you make more video about STM32 projects with Arduino IDE.
how to find levitation point???
Pls send me a complete circuit of a 24v h bridge inverter using your easy boost trapping circuit
Howdy! Came across you video a week or so back and have watched it a few times. Love the simplicity of the project. My problem is I am trying to build something similiar, but need it to detect a ferous object 3 ft to 6 feet away. How would I megasize this to work. Thanks!
That could be a challenge. Try looking into GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar)
Very great video, thanks a lot !!
You are welcome!

This is a great overview, thanks! Yet more evidence for me that the standard way to use velostat is sandwiched between conductors, and not used to bridge across two conductors like the first example I saw. Also, I'm curious, do piezo sensors detect force, or do they detect percussion? My understanding is that they don't work very consistently to measure static force. Is that right?
Here is another video using velostat as a pressure sensor: ruclips.net/video/seMVgJ41BZw/видео.html Yes, Piezo sensors basically detect percussion. They output during acceleration and not during static pressure. A good example of that is an engine knock sensor. ruclips.net/video/fZGUzk-BYgQ/видео.html To measure static force use a strain gauge (load cell). ruclips.net/video/3LoVl_qjeR4/видео.html
@@0033mer Thanks for the answer! Yes, I've used knock sensors for a digital drum before, and I just wanted to check I had the right info. I'm now making MIDI pads that need static force sensitivity for sustain, so velostat is definitely the way to go from what I've seen.
Rubbing alcohol and an old tooth brush will take that old flux off easy
Where I can get the Driver for the device?
is you input ac?
For this setup, should I use the PPM or PWM Output mode?
For iBus enable PPM output. ruclips.net/video/KcAqYI3WILk/видео.html
This is great! Thanks for sharing! What would be the approach if I'm looking to leverage the pwm of an arduino and a high side n-channel mosfet to control 12V LEDs? Should I build a mosfet driver?
Great video btw what is the range for this thing? Hehehe
using this convertor- 1st device is ethernet- take to USR unit- then to RS485 wiring to another RS485 connected to another USR unit far away , then back to ethernet connection to allow comm. between the two devices ? thanks John

Great tip of the day. Thanks

Can you explain the button debounce on the data sheet?
Some microcontroller boards have a pushbutton from the reset pin to ground to manually put the system into reset. The DS1233A has a feature that detects this button press and debounces it for 350 ms to stop multiple resets which can cause the firmware to become errratic. This feature will not be activated when used as a low battery alarm.
Another great circuit to bookmark... Thanks. Needed something simple like that a few years ago.
You're welcome! A nice little hack to keep in the back of your mind.
What a awesome little project! Just in time, I'm working on my DIY lawnmower and this will detect low battery power! Thnxs for sharing!
Glad I could help!
Thank you, Im learning how to use batteries in project, and those Li-ion scares the shit out of me since the BMS I bought from amazon seems to do nothing
Wow, what a useful IC. And easy to implement.
Yes, it's been around for a long time.
Useful tip, thanks!
Your're welcome. Glad it was helpful.
Thank you for this video. I could use your help. I want to charge batteries with my Siglent PSU. I need the charge cycle to stop, when the current drops to 200mA. I can do this in the PSU's software, but I am not much of a coder. So, I am needing an adjustable low current shut off circuit. Thank you for your consideration of it. Using an Attiny85 and a sense resistor might work?
Check Adafruit website for a current sensor module to detect your 200 mA current trigger for shutdown.
I vaguely remember a chip named MAX809 that worked in a similar way, I will have to investigate. Thank you for another helpful tip.
Yes, the MAX803 is basically the same chip bit only available in SMD, so not breadboard friendly.
Whats the pot in the upper left corner for?
It's an inductor, not a pot.
Hello, very interesting video, but i question here, how did you build the Encoding matrix (EC,D3,BA,75), i can understand that the decoding matrix is composed by this encoding matrix and the identity matrix, but, how can we create the encoding matrix? Thanks!!!!
The encoding H matrix shown in the video is a standard used by Mobitex, a wireless protocol. You can create your own for your application. Check out this link: www.ece.unb.ca/tervo/ee4253/hamming2.shtml
@@0033mer Many thanks Sir!!!!!
Be aware, that the circuit will not work with any PWM or several Khz signal. This works only for very low frequencies from Arduino. To get the same effect, you need to use a boost converter to give double as much voltages to the gate which let the MOSFET to switch ON totally.
The described circuit is for demonstration purposes. Check the description box for an application note.
Thank you for the information, so the MD-PS002 sensor is not suitable for use as a TPMS? I'm working on my final project and plan to use this sensor because it's low cost, but do you have any suggestions for other pressure sensors that can be applied to TPMS besides MD-PS002 and MPX?
More people should appreciate this.
ah, at last, Someone making sense from the 2- vs. 3-pin electret-condenser mic capsule choice decision-making process. it isn't the FET that is inside or not, but the resistor? But where is the resistor in the 3-pin? for current-limiting, is it? Thank You Maestro!
Problem 3-13 in "Electromagnetic Fields and Waves" (2nd edition) by Lorrain & Corson deals with a microphone having an electret diaphragm. (The 3rd ed. has a completely different layout.)
Very well explained thankyou :)
You're welcome!
I must admit, it´s the first time I understand a bit of how bootstraping works, still I have 2-3 questions, and hope that any commenters/viewers are gonna explain a bit to me: 6:50 1: "the transistor will be on, so, its collector will be at ground, thus grounding any voltage to the gate of the Mosfet..." Does the gate need 24V to open (cause 24-12=12V are needed after all?), so, 12V going through the IN4148-diode, the 10K- and the 1K-resistor (while at the same time anyway connected to ground), surely isn´t enough to trigger the gate ??? The question may sound as being self-answering, but such stuff isn´t clear to me at all (that´s what you get, when learning electronics at YT ;-) 7:25 2: "so, the voltage of the load is gonna increase. and as it´s increasing, the voltage at the diode/cap-midpoint is gonna increase at the same rate..." I know caps unload their charge in milliseconds, so, more than a single cap-charge/cycle is demanded for it to work? Or is the gate-current-demand so low, that a single cap-charge per cycle is sufficient??? I mean, how long can the 24v be sustained, since the cap unloads quickly (in few ms), if the cap isn´t supposedly charged several times in a single cycle, thus keeping its 12v-charge-level constant??? Also 7:25 3: What is meant by "the voltage at the diode/cap-midpoint is gonna increase at the same rate (as by the load)", is the voltage at the diode/cap-midpoint the sum of the "battery"-voltage rushing-in, and being added to the 12v of the cap? In other words: diode/cap-midpoint has 12v from the cap plus 0v from the battery at the beggining, and as soon as battery-current rushes-in, you get 12v + "X"v, "X" growing at the same rate it grows at the load (as is apparent/logical), till you reach 24v??? Or does some other wizardry happen, that I didn´t get yet??? Thanks á priori for all answers !!!
Did you try opening the padlock a second time to show that it wasn't a fluke?
I am a locksmith and have done this many times. If you want to learn about locks and how they work check out this video: ruclips.net/video/JwzlLSfYaMk/видео.html You can buy one of those devices and try it out for yourself: www.lockpickcanada.com/electric_lock_pick_p/e500xt.htm

Why nature is against us?
Interesting... With variable speed on thew DC Motor could you have found a resonance frequency to lower the nut on the threaded rod ?
Yes, at resonance the nut goes up and if you reduce the frequency below resonance the nut goes down. Also the nut speeds up suddenly when it is half way up the bolt. I made this video for a grade 12 physics teacher who is going to cover those questions. Didn't do this kind of stuff when I went to school.
@@0033mer Yeah.. would have been great if we had practical Science experiments like these back in the day.
On RUclips there's a lot of reversed video fakery. You should put a water fountain behind it or something and then show how you can make the nut go in either direction.
@@bornach Good Idea... But I trust this channel's Videos to be Non Fake...
If it is a "reversed" video how can you fake the nut going to the end and falling off onto the table. Think about it.
Awesome music!
Yes, catchy tune.
